Foundation B.a.d is an artists’ initiative in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, that began in 1987 when a group of art students occupied a decommissioned bathhouse. The experience was short-lived but influential because it led to the establishing of a foundation. Site Specific Squat is a group exhibition with Foundation B.a.d and guest artists. The participants present own perspectives regarding the principle of squatting. The group exhibition offers the audience a new way of viewing artworks and understanding the legitimacy of an occupation.
